AGE AND YOUTH

 AGE AND YOUTH.

Age is slow to passion,
Frail in limb and frame;
Shy of hasty action
That might man and inflame.

Age is wise and prudent,
Patience is his strength;
Ever wordly student,
Gains his goal at length.

Youth is strong and sturdy,
Carries all before;
Wild, impulsive, ready,
He would die or score 

Vain his mein and manner,
Strong his lustful sense,
Yet of country's banner
Ne'ver shall yield defence.

Youth is struck in motion,
Age directs and checks
Each capricious notions
Bearing latent wrecks.

Age is great in vision,
Youth is proud of moves,
But fulfill a mission
World with joy approves.
