A HYMN OF PRAYER.

Great Jehovah, hear my call,
Let your richest blessings all
On this nation, Ghana fall:
Lord, support her

Make our nation's rulers strong
Against civilian greedy throng;
Grant them wisdom deep and long;
Lord, entrench them.

God of mercy, hear my cry,
Sneaking foes around me lie,
Help me pass them safely by;
Lord, protect me.

In this world with pitfalls strewn,
Darkness ruling home and dune,
Give me welcome light of noon;
Lord, assist me.

If some careless acts of mine
Did infringe Your laws divine,
I to thee myself resign;
Lord, Your mercy.

Pains and sickness choke my breath,
Swamping all the joys of earth,
Bring me early health or death,
Lord, relieve me.
